Tips and Tricks to Manage Boredom and Anxiety

Preparing For the Transition to a  “New Normal” For Your Child and Your Family

As communities begin to transition away from mandatory closures and home-based isolation, children and teens will need to learn to adapt to new rules, a new way of interacting with others and an adjustment to school and extracurriculars.  We will explore effective ways to predict and prepare for this  transition to a "new normal".

I’m Natalie Haynes and I’m a Registered  Psychotherapist and I have been in private practice in Georgetown, Ontario, Canada.  I became a therapist because I was a client.  Anxiety was my thing and I figured out how to be with it.  For over 14 years I have been working with individuals, couples and families.  I want to teach others about how we can be with anxiety in a new way.  I am pretty passionate about helping people to become aware of who they already are so they can be more present for the important relationships in their lives.

Liz is a Psychotherapist registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers with over 16 years of experience delivering mental health and behavioural services to Children and Families.  Her Private Practice is located in Milton.  Liz's personalized approach to treatment aims to bring clarity into complex life circumstances. Research now shows that sleep is an integral part to supporting our emotional health.  We will have a guest speaker, Catherine Hart, a Certified Paediatric Sleep Consultant, of Baby Sleep Team based out of Mount Manuganui, New Zealand.   Catherine is passionate about helping families to get more sleep.  She ensures that parents are equipped to adapt to their own unique situation that will benefit the whole family.
